After my return from studies in London, I lived in a little town called Pacific Grove, CA. It is close to Cannery Row where a small handful of Steinbeck’s characters still wandered the streets, and where otters might be seen playing in the bay. It just wouldn’t be the same place without either of them! On the central coast of California Sea Otters live among the giant sea kelp, the influence of this design.
