Inlayed in the bottom of each piece is fine dust from a tree that was over 2200 years old. On displayed at Henry Cowell Park in Santa Cruz, CA. is part of this tree where you can count the rings! I am particularly fond of a large Redwood tree in the front yard of the home where I grew up . My three brothers and I spent many afternoons perched on the boards we placed high in the tree. As adults we climbed it one last time before my parents moved to Port Townsend, WA.
