White tigers occur when both tigers that mate carry the gene for white coloring. In a natural mating, there is only a one in 10,000 chance that a tiger will be white, a one in 10,000 miracle tiger, which is why they say that it exists 'only in captivity'. I find this piece quite stunning, and like most of my work it is attractive to both men and women.
